Bassam Moucharafieh, MD, FACS is world reknowned for breast augmentation and reduction.
Dr. Moucharafieh graduated from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 1971, and completed his internship at the University Medical Center. He attended Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, an affiliate hospital of Albany Medical College, Albany, New York. He completed four years of residency in general surgery. During that time he also joined the teaching faculty at Albany Medical College as an Instructor in Anatomy in 1973.
In 1975 Dr. Moucharafieh completed a year of research at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri. He published several articles dealing with the basic science of tendon healing and silicone breast implants. He completed two years Residency training in Plastic Surgery at Barnes Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis in 1978.
Specialties: Breast Augmentation and Reduction, Facial aesthetic plastic surgery (face lifts, laser resurfacing, nose and eyelid reshaping), and liposculpture (all areas of the body).
